What does AMES actually cost?
Under our standard terms, a small transaction fee is your only AMES platform charge. There is no monthly platform subscription, setup fee or separate per-member charge. Standard platform rates start at 1.25% on successful payments and reduce through blended member bands. Payment processing, SMS, phone services including number rental, and metered AI have separate charges.
How is that different from my payment provider?
The AMES platform fee covers the software your business uses: bookings, scheduling, records, registers and member access. Stripe or GoCardless payment-processing fees are separate. We confirm your platform rate, processing rates and service charges before launch.
How do the member bands work?
The first 150 members have a 1.25% marginal platform rate, the next 350 a 1.00% rate, the next 1,500 a 0.75% rate and the next 8,000 a 0.50% rate. These bands are blended into one effective rate for your payments. At 10,000+ members, we agree custom terms. Member count determines the rate; it is not a separate charge for each member.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. You can register and explore the platform. We can walk through your classes, team and current setup with you so you understand how AMES fits before you launch.
What payment methods can families use?
Families can pay by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe. GoCardless Direct Debit supports recurring class payments. AMES keeps payment information connected to your bookings and member records.
How do you help us switch?
We help bring your member data into AMES, configure the system with your team and support you after launch. Together we agree the migration steps and timing around your existing classes and payment arrangements.
Are there other service charges?
Yes. SMS, calls, phone-number rental and metered AI have separate charges, alongside your payment provider’s processing fees. Keeping these costs tied to use helps keep core platform costs low. We explain your rates and available services before launch.
